Employee of the Year Award
This year, we are proud to recognize a team of employees for their outstanding dedication and hard work. Christian County decided to participate in the senior citizen tax freeze proposed by Senate Bill 190. This decision resulted in significant administrative work, which fell largely on the shoulders of a few key members of our staff. The group of employees who took on the brunt of this challenge – Sandy Liles, Amy York, Nancy Burton, and Colleen Laas – worked tirelessly to ensure that everything was handled efficiently and effectively. Their collective effort and commitment have been integral to our success in navigating this task. We thank them for their continued dedication and service not only to the employees but also the citizens of Christian County.
Employee of the Quarter Award
Join me in congratulating our first Employee of the Quarter for 2025—Sayer Lee! Sayer, the office manager at the Resource Management building, was nominated by her peers for being the heart of the office due to her dedication to both her regular duties and her willingness to always jump in and help others. She also organizes holiday/birthday lunches helping to create a positive atmosphere that boosts morale. We appreciate her service! Congratulations, Sayer!
Recipients will be selected on, but not limited to, the criteria listed below
- Highly engaged and committed to the mission, vision and values of the County.
- A “can-do” attitude; goes the extra mile in giving to the County and doing their best.
- Functions in a spirit of partnership with other employees and with their citizens.
- Has a clear understanding of personal accountability and tends to look to themselves first for resources and solutions. Instead of placing blame, they fix problems.
- Embraces change and looks for ways to reinvent themselves while continuing to provide a high level of value to the organization.
